Police Staff Investigator Level 2 - HMET

Cleveland Police are seeking experienced and skilled investigators, who are qualified to PIP Level 2 (or equivalent) to join HMET.

If you have been involved in complex investigations, with a proven track record of providing best evidence from the outset and have an excellent standard of case file submission, this could be the role for you.

Working as an Investigative Officer within HMET you will support the investigation of some of our most major, high profile and complex crimes and will play a significant part in protecting the public of Cleveland. We are seeking a conscientious, dedicated and inquiring individual to ensure a professional investigative and supportive service is delivered to the community.

Working as a Police staff Investigator is varied and rewarding. You will work as part of a team to ensure that objectives are met, adapting to changing circumstances and priorities as needed. You will interview individuals under investigation as well as victims and witnesses, and therefore a background working with vulnerability and safeguarding would be advantageous.

Qualified candidates who can demonstrate a track record of carrying out investigations to the highest of standards, with an ability to work on own initiative making effective decisions in line with relevant legislation are particularly welcomed to apply.
