PIP2 Investigator (CAIU)
An exciting opportunity to work within the rewarding and challenging world of Child Abuse Investigations as a PIP 2 Investigator.
This is an exciting opportunity to work as an integral part of a mixed team of police officers and staff. The role is varied, challenging and rewarding. The post holder will be responsible for the management, progression and investigation of serious and complex criminal offences and other incidents and enquiries. The role includes completing investigative actions and maintaining victim and witness confidence to facilitate successful outcomes. It also includes the preparation of case papers ensuring file completeness and delivery in accordance with court deadlines, legislation and force policy.
It is essential that you have effective communication skills with the ability to communicate with a wide audience along with proven analytical and decision making skills. You will also be self- motivated with the ability to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision.
Capability to travel across the Force is required in order to undertake assignments in a timely manner and work flexibly. Due to unsocial hours and personal safety for lone working public transport may not be suitable. For this reason a full driving licence is considered essential for this role.

The successful candidate will be subject to enhanced vetting and psychological screening due to the nature of the role.
