Salary: Band B. The starting salary is £62,310, which includes allowances totalling £3,009.
The salary is broken down as £59,301 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £72,254. Plus, a location allowance of £2,009 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.
Location: Remote working nationally within UK. NPCC is currently based in close proximity to St James Park underground station, London and therefore occasional travel will be required to this premise and other Police locations across the UK. Contract – Fixed Term Contract from 01/08/2026 until 31/03/2027 (with the potential for further extension subject to funding and performance).

NPCC SERIOUS ORGANISED CRIME TEAM
The NPCC Serious Organised Crime Team plays a crucial role in communicating the collective views and action of UK police chiefs to the public, government, and stakeholders, building and maintaining confidence in policing at the national level and supporting effective engagement with stakeholders.
THE ROLE
The role is in place to coordinate the business change and ongoing operational delivery of Crime Overseas Production Orders (COPO) across the 43 national forces and the nine Regional Organised Crime Units. In partnership with strategic leaders across law enforcement, the criminal justice system, His Majesty’s Government (HMG) and foreign partners. The role will coordinate the delivery of a consistent, connected and coherent COPO capability supported by a sustainable funding strategy.
The postholder will also support and collaborate with wider Sensitive Equites and Communications Capabilities Business Leads.
The successful candidate would need to have the following experiences and skills:
- Educated to minimum degree level or have experience of working that level for the previous 2 years
- Postholder should have working knowledge of the Government Protective Marking Scheme.
- A strategic understanding of National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC) and wider SOC system structures in order to deliver the objectives of the NPCC Sensitive Equities portfolio lead. The postholder should understand the structure and function of Regional Organised Crime Units (ROCUs), including their operational remit, funding and governance.
- Exceptional negotiating and influencing skills are required to enable the postholder to engage and influence senior Law Enforcement Agency officers / staff and Government Officials and cross-partnership stakeholders.
- Track record of working with a wide range of partners and across organisational boundaries to deliver effective, lasting and positive change for the benefit of SOC policing and the wider SOC system.
