Recruitment Process & Conditions
To be eligible to apply, you will have successfully completed your two/three year probationary period at the time of application (entry route type dependant).
- We only currently accept transferring officers from a UK Home Office Force. Unfortunately, BTP doesn't qualify currently.
- Applicants must hold the National Standard Driving Qualification.
- The recruitment process will follow a set programme of application, paper sift, competency based interview, conditional offer, vetting (including biometrics), medical checks, reference checks, and fitness test.
- Please note that applicants’ disciplinary & attendance records will be assessed as part of the vetting process.
- The application form will be used to shortlist candidates, so please complete in detail, as it isn't a formality that you will be offered an interview.
