ERSOU are seeking applications for the role of Operations Planner within the ERSOU Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) Surveillance Team.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in supporting surveillance operations aimed at protecting the public and disrupting terrorist activity across the Eastern Region.

ERSOU CTP forms part of the UK's national counter-terrorism network and operates across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk. Working alongside dedicated surveillance officers, operational teams, intelligence professionals and external partners, the Operations Planner provides the planning, preparation and coordination that underpin successful surveillance deployments.

The successful applicant will be responsible for researching and developing comprehensive operational briefing packages, assessing the feasibility of surveillance deployments, collating intelligence from a variety of sources and supporting operational activity in accordance with NPCC Surveillance Manual guidance. We are looking for individuals who have excellent organisational and communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to analyse information from multiple sources. Applicants should be comfortable working within a highly sensitive environment, managing competing priorities and maintaining the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality. Experience of surveillance planning, operational order production, intelligence research or operational briefing delivery would be advantageous.

The role requires a proactive and flexible approach. Successful candidates may be required to work outside normal office hours to support operational activity and should be willing to travel throughout the region and beyond where operational requirements dictate.

As a member of ERSOU CTP, you will demonstrate the highest standards of professionalism and commitment to the principles of Counter Terrorism Policing. You will be expected to embody the behaviours of being emotionally aware, collaborative, innovative, accountable and capable of critical analysis whilst working in line with the Code of Ethics.
