6489 Major Crime Investigation Officer

This is an exciting opportunity for two highly motivated individuals with the required skills and experience to play a key role within a Major Incident Room for homicide and other major crime investigations. You will aspire to the highest standards of investigation and have a real drive to deliver for the victims of the most serious of crimes and their loved ones. This position demands attention to detail, excellent communication skills and an investigative mind set.

As part of the MCIT you will be based in Gloucestershire. However you will be working as part of the wider MCIT collaboration which covers the three geographical areas of Avon & Somerset; Wiltshire & Gloucestershire and travel will be required across the three areas and occasionally outside the region, subject to operational need.

The role is very rewarding but can be demanding in many ways, often with long deployments worked at short notice.
